At IBM, I worked as a Signal Integrity Engineer. While I can't share proprietary code, my work focused on streamlining test processes, managing embedded systems, and writing automation scripts.
- I created several Python and Bash scripts to automate tasks like file manipulation, remote machine control over TCP/IP, and running statistical performance tests via Python GUIs. These tests involved automated control of power supplies, oscilloscopes, and vector network analyzers. Most lab equipment can be controlled remotely via serial or internet commands, but is often underutilized due to lack of time or scripting experience.
- I performed simulation and testing using tools like HFSS and PowerDC. I also automated simulation setup through Python scripts. Many scientific tools include Python APIs, which makes this kind of automation straightforward and powerful.
- I collaborated closely with interns to help drive team project completion and knowledge sharing.
